Abstract:
The present invention provides a method for producing a rubber composition containing (A) a rubber component, which contains a modified conjugated diene-based polymer obtained by using a modifying agent having a functional group that is compatible with silica, a filler that contains (B) an inorganic filler, (C) a silane coupling agent and (D) at least one type of accelerator selected from among guanidine compounds, sulfenamide compounds, thiazole compounds, thiuram compounds, thiourea compounds, dithiocarbamic acid compounds and xanthogenic acid compounds. The method for producing a rubber composition is characterized in that the rubber composition is kneaded in a plurality of stages, the rubber component (A), all or some of the inorganic filler (B), all or some of the silane coupling agent (C), and the accelerator (D) are added and kneaded in a first kneading stage (X). In the rubber composition containing a specific modified conjugated diene-based polymer, the coupling function activity of the silane coupling agent is further increased, and a rubber composition having suitably low-heat generation can be obtained.
