Abstract:
A method for producing a sheet member of an absorbent article (1) equipped with a first nonwoven fabric (2A) and a second nonwoven fabric (2B) and having a plurality of holes (40) formed therein, said method being equipped with: a first hole formation step for forming first holes (41) in the first nonwoven fabric (2A) by pushing pins (55) therethrough from one side in the thickness direction to the other side thereof; a second hole formation step for forming second holes (42) in the second nonwoven fabric (2B) by pushing the pins (55), while said pins are in a state of passage through the first nonwoven fabric (2A), from the one side in the thickness direction to the other side thereof; and an extraction step for extracting the pins (55) from the other side in the thickness direction toward the one side thereof in a manner such that after extracting the pins (55), the edge sections of the second holes (42) have a second hole-side projecting part (44) which projects toward said other side.
