Title:
METHOD FOR PRODUCING THIN SILICON STEEL STRIP
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2023/100765
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
Provided is a method for producing a thin silicon steel strip that includes a silicon content of 6.5% and is produced by cold rolling silicon steel with a silicon content in a range of 4.0-8.0%. The method 1 for producing a thin silicon steep strip includes a rapid liquid cooling step P2 in which a rapidly cooled 6.5% silicon steel ribbon in the form of a strip is formed, and a cold rolling step P3 in which the rapidly cooled ribbon is subjected to cold rolling and made to plastically deform into a thin 6.5% silicon steel strip. In the rapid liquid cooling step P2, a molten alloy obtained by melting 6.5% silicon steel billets including 6.5 weight% of silicon in iron is solidified by a single-roll rapid cooling method in which said molten alloy is sprayed onto the cylindrical surface of a rotating roll and rapidly cooled, thereby forming the rapidly cooled ribbon in the form of a strip. In the cold rolling step P3, the rapidly cooled ribbon formed by the rapid liquid cooling step P2 is subjected to cold rolling and made to plastically deform into a rolled steel strip which is a thin 6.5% silicon steel strip.
