Abstract:
[Problem] To make it possible for a tip that can be used multiple times to be easily and inexpensively produced without a work step for grinding the tip. [Solution] A method for producing a substantially cuboid tip 1, wherein an upper punch 25 for pressing a sand-like metal material SM for tip molding from above, a lower punch 26 for pressing the metal material SM for tip molding from below, and a mortar mold 21 into which the metal material SM for tip molding is poured are used, a lower surface 25a of the upper punch 25 being used as a molding surface for a portion on a rake-surface 2 side of the tip 1, an upper surface 26a of the lower punch 26 being used as a molding surface for a portion on a reverse-side surface 11 of the tip 1 that is on the reverse side from the rake surface 2, and one side inner surface 24a of a cavity 24 in the mortar mold 21 being used as a molding surface for portion on a flank surface 5 of the tip 1.
