Abstract:
Provided is a method for producing a titanium-plated member, the method comprising: a step for preparing a substrate having a conductive surface; a step for immersing the substrate in a molten salt titanium-plating solution composition containing F-, Tin+, and at least one Group 1 metal ion among Li+ and Na+; a step for applying a cathodic current to the substrate immersed in the molten salt titanium-plating solution composition and thereby coating the surface of the substrate with titanium to form a titanium plating film on the surface; a step for cleaning the titanium plating film by bringing the titanium plating film into contact with a molten salt for cleaning containing at least one compound selected from the group consisting of an alkali metal chloride, an alkaline earth metal chloride, and KF, to thereby remove a first deposit attached to the surface of the titanium plating film in the step for forming the titanium plating film; and a step for rinsing the titanium plating film to remove a second deposit attached to the surface of the titanium plating film in the step for cleaning with the molten salt for cleaning.
