Abstract:

In the present invention, the method for producing trans-bis(aminomethyl)cyclohexane includes the following: a trans isomerization step of isomerizing cis-dicyanocyclohexane into trans-dicyanocyclohexane by heating dicyanocyclohexane, which includes cis-dicyanocyclohexane, in the presence of a tar component obtained by distillation of dicyanocyclohexane; and an aminomethylation step of bringing the trans-dicyanocyclohexane obtained in the trans isomerization step into contact with hydrogen so as to obtain trans-bis(aminomethyl)cyclohexane.
