Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing a method for producing a vinyl polymer, which is capable of easily performing the polymerization control by means of reductant dropping by eliminating or reducing the induction period. The present invention solves the above-described problem by providing a method for producing a vinyl polymer, which performs living radical polymerization in the presence of the substances (A)-(E) described below.
(A) copper metal or a copper compound
(B) a polyamine
(C) a base other than a polyamine
(D) a reductant
(E) a metal compound other than highly oxidized copper
