Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for producing a xanthohumol-containing composition, the method comprising the steps of: bringing a first mixture containing a hop-derived component containing xanthofumol and a first solvent containing water and a water miscible solvent into contact with polyvinylpolypyrrolidone to adsorb xanthofumol on the polyvinylpolypyrrolidone; washing the xanthofumol-adsorbed polyvinylpolypyrrolidone with a second solvent; and eluting xanthofumol with a third solvent from the polyvinylpolypyrrolidone to obtain a xanthofumol-containing eluate. The second solvent is an ethanol aqueous solution. The third solvent is an ethanol aqueous solution having a higher concentration than the second solvent or ethanol.
