Abstract:
In the method for production decorative panel with thermoplastic basis, used as surface coating material in furniture and decoration field; subject of invention, the thermoplastic mirror, obtained by coating one surface of transparent panels, manufactured from plastics such as acrylic, polystrene, polycarbonate, polyvinylchloride, cut in the desired thickness and size, in vacuum media and metalized, is placed on serigraph table or digital press table. The silk model or digital design, prepared previously, is applied on thermoplastic mirror. Along with these, pasting plastic folios, which have design on them, on plastic mirror or making film transfer to apply design on the areas desired on plastic mirror, are the other applications preferred, of the invention.

Claims:
CLAIMS

1 . The method for production of decorative panel with thermoplastic basis, used as surface coating material in furniture and decoration field from plastic plates coated with mirror, characterized in that it comprises the following steps to create a depth sense when looked at said panels:

• placing plastic mirror on serigraphy table or digital press table.

• applying the silk model or digital design, prepared previously, on certain areas on the plastic mirror. • drying the design applied.

The method for production of decorative panel with thermoplastic basis, used as surface coating material in furniture and decoration field from plastic panels coated with mirror characterized in that in order to create a depth sense when looked at said panels applying plastic folios, on which the desired design is decoupled, on plastic mirror by pasting it.

3. The method for production of decorative panel with thermoplastic basis used as surface coating material in furniture and decoration field from plastic plates coated with mirror characterized in that it comprises the following steps to create a depth sense when looked at said panels:

• Working a suitable design on a metal or silicon cylinder, that can be heated, by forming relief or recess.

• then locating the plastic mirror and the transfer film put on it placed on the working table located under said cylinder.

• When the cylinder is hot, passing the plastic mirror and the transfer film put on it, under the cylinder.

• According to the structure of the design on the cylinder, by transferring same parts of the film to the mirror, forming a lusterless design in certain parts on the plastics mirror.

4. The method for production decorative panel with thermoplastic basis, according to the claims 1 -3, wherein the material of said thermoplastic panel is acrylic.

5. The method for production decorative panel with thermoplastic basis, according to the claims 1 -3 wherein the material of said thermoplastic panel is polystrene.

6. The method for production decorative panel with thermoplastic basis, according to the claims 1 -3 wherein the material of said thermoplastic panel is polycarbonate.

7. The method for production decorative panel with thermoplastic basis, according to the claims 1 -3 wherein material of said thermoplastic panel is polyvinylchloride.

8. The method for production decorative panel with thermoplastic basis, according to the claims 1 -3 wherein the material of said thermoplastic panel is polyester.

9. A decorative panel produced in one of the methods according to the claims 1 - 3.

Related Technical Field

This invention is related with the production method of decorative panels used in furniture and decoration field.

Backgrou nd Art

In prior art, there are different methods applied in decorative panel production. In general, in decorative panel production, paint is applied with a method called transfer film method by applying heat on polystrene plates. On the plates, colored with this transaction a second brighter color, in geometrical designs is applied again by hot film transfer method. Thus, on a lusterless surface, by forming brighter designs, decorative panel is obtained. However in the reproduction of bright designs later on with this method, there are some difficulties. Design press head in each line, presses a line each time. For this reason production takes a long time. Furthermore, in the second transfer film used, tare proportion is very high.

In the method described in published patent document No. GB2331240, in the mirror and glass arrangement placed by leaving a little space between them, design is applied on the glass. Thus decorative panel gains depth due to mirror. But mirror and glass can break easily. Furthermore in order to bring glass and mirror together, a separate mechanism is used.

In the method described in published patent document No. DE3326845, design is pressed on glass. Later on this glass plate, is clasped to a plastic plate of which back is coated with mirror, with apparatus such as claws, clips. The pressure of the design first of the glass and then clasping it on a plastic surface coated with mirror, brings an additional load from the points of both workmanship and cost.

The subject of invention, which is an economical method as regards to both cost and raw material, method for production decorative panel with thermoplastic basis, can be used. In this method, on the plastic mirrors with desired thickness and size, by using one of serigraphy, digital pressure, pasting plastic folio methods, designs is applied. Application of design directly on mirror decreases both cost and workmanship. Furthermore as plastic mirror does not break easily, tare proportion is very little.

Objects of invention

The purpose of invention is to produce decorative panel with thermoplastic basis by making designs on plastic mirrors with different methods, which creates depth sense when looked at. With this invention it is also targeted to make economy in workmanship and in the material to be used, compared to the methods applied by old technics. Another purpose of the invention is to decrease tare proportion of material by using plastic mirror, of which breaking strength is high, as base surface. Furthermore by making press transaction directly on mirror, it is aimed to shorten press period.

Description of Invention

The plastic mirrors used in the production of decorative panels with thermoplastic basis, subject of the invention, are produced from plastics such as acrylic, polystrene, polycarbonate, polyvinylchloride, polyester in different thicknesses. One surface of these plates, produced as transparent, is metalized by vacuuming them in vacuum pan; thus plastic plates having mirror surface, are obtained. As the breaking strength of plastic mirrors is much higher than glass mirror, their use is preferred in this invention.

Subject of invention, thermoplastic mirror, obtained by metalizing one surface of transparent plates, produced from plastics such as acrylic, polystrene, polycarbonate, polyvinylchloride, cut in desired thickness and size in the method for production of decorative panels with thermoplastic basis, used as surface coating material in furniture and decoration field, is placed on serigraph table or digital press table. The silk model or digital design, prepared previously, is applied on thermoplastic mirror. Following drying the design applied, packing transaction begins.

As alternative to serigraph or digital press method, self-adhesive plastic folio application can also be used. The plastic folio, after decoupling the design desired on it, is pasted on thermoplastic mirror and applied.

In another application of the invention, by using transfer film method on plastic mirror, the design is applied. In this method, in certain areas on the plastic mirror lusterless film transfer is performed. Thus, by the mirror used on bottom surface, contrary to old technics, there is no need to make a second bright film transfer.

In this method, the suitable design is worked on a metal or silicon cylinder, which can be heated, by forming relief or recess. Later on the plastic mirror and the transfer film, placed on it, is put on the working table, located under the cylinder. When the cylinder is hot, the plastic mirror and the transfer film located on it, is passed, under the cylinder. According to the structure of the design on the cylinder, while some parts of the film are transferred on the mirror, some parts are not transferred. Thus the parts, transferred on the mirror, form a lusterless design on the mirror, and the mirror surface remain at the bottom, gains depth sense to decorative plate. With just one transfer, decorative plate, containing lusterless and bright designs is obtained. With this method, designs that follow each other in the width of press surface of cylinder are applied.

With the method, subject of invention, by using thermoplastic mirror as the bottom surface, in accordance with the design applied on mirror, decorative plates that give brightness and depth sense are obtained. Thermoplastic mirrors are preferred as they are light, can be cut easily and do not break. Pressing the design directly on the mirror shortens the production period. In accordance with the design, to be applied, press method is identified and there is no limit in the choice of design.

The method for production of decorative panel with thermoplastic basis, preferred above, is not in the quality to restrict the protection scope of the invention. In the direction of the information disclosed with the invention, the changes to be realized on the method for production decorative panel with thermoplastic basis thus preferred, should be evaluated within the protection scope of the invention.
