Title:
METHOD FOR PRODUCTION OF FIBROUS MOULDED BODIES
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO2002088468
Kind Code:
A3
Abstract:
The invention relates to methods for production of shock-resistant, fibre-containing moulded bodies with high elastic restoring properties, made from aqueous cellulose-containing masses, by means of adding the masses into or onto a mould, moulding and at least partial drainage of the masses and drying of the moulded body thus obtained. The invention is characterised in that a modified starch is added to the aqueous masses, before addition into or onto the mould, which is obtained by digestion of starch, starch derivatives and/or the decomposition products thereof in aqueous solution in the presence of at least one cationic polymer, comprising at least 20 wt. % of polymerised cationic units. The invention further relates to moulded bodies obtained as above.
