Abstract:
Disclosed is a method for production of a copper-phthalocyanine pigment composition which has a small aspect ratio, has a greenish color phase, is excellent in dispersibility, and particularly shows an excellent printing gloss when prepared in the form of an ink. Also disclosed is a method for production of a printing ink using the pigment composition. Further disclosed is a printed matter produced by printing with the ink. The method for production of a pigment composition comprises mixing a crude copper-phthalocyanine with a modified ester produced by the modification of a resin acid and/or a hydrocarbon resin with an unsaturated carboxylic acid or an anhydride thereof and an alcohol in an amount of 20 to 80% by weight based on the weight of the copper-phthalocyanine and dry-grinding the resulting mixture.
