Title:
METHOD FOR PROLONGING SHELF LIVES OF FRUITS AND VEGETABLES BY A RESPIRATION MODEL COMBINING LASER DRILLING-ADJUSTED MICROPORES AND MODIFIED ATMOSPHERE PACKAGING
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2021/108952
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
A method for prolonging shelf lives of fruits and vegetables by a respiration model combining laser drilling-adjusted micropores and modified atmosphere packaging. Fresh and undamaged fruits and vegetables are taken as main raw materials, and are subjected to cleaning, draining and slicing, the treated fruits and vegetables are placed into a laser drilled polyethylene packaging bag for undergoing micropore modified atmosphere packaging, then cold storage is performed, and a respiratory rate model of the fruits and vegetables is established. According to the method, the sizes and quantity of micropores on the packaging bag are adjusted by means of laser drilling; cold storage is carried out after micropore modified atmosphere packaging; a respiratory rate of the fruits and vegetables in the packaging bag is measured regularly; a respiratory rate model of changes of the fruits and vegetables along with preservation time is established by using an Michaelis-Menten model; the respiratory rate of the fruits and vegetables can be better predicted, and the shelf lives of the fruits and vegetables can be prolonged to 16 to 21 days. By using the method, a respiratory action of the fruits and vegetables can be controlled, relatively good colors and quality can be maintained, and nutritional ingredients are maintained. Compared with un-drilled packaging, the shelf lives of the fruits and vegetables during cold storage can be effectively prolonged.
