Abstract:
Disclosed is an electronic device comprising: a battery; memory; a connector including one or more signal terminals; a first converter which connects the battery to the connector and is included in a first path; a second converter which connects the battery to the connector and is included in a second path distinct from the first path; and a processor electrically connected to the battery, the memory, the connector, the first converter, and the second converter. The memory stores instructions that, when executed, cause the processor to: when the electronic device is connected to an external electronic device through the connector, obtain identification information of the external electronic device; determine whether the identification information and comparison data stored in the memory match; when the identification information and the comparison data match, determine whether the voltage of a power terminal (vbus) among the one or more signal terminals satisfies a specified condition; and use the second path to transmit power determined on the basis of the real-time voltage of the battery to the external electronic device through the connector on the basis of whether the specified condition is satisfied. Various other embodiments identified through the specification are also possible.
