Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a flavor improving agent for reducing alcoholic taste and enhancing aromatic scent in a specific alcoholic beverage when the specific alcoholic beverage is imbibed, a method for providing or producing an alcoholic beverage having reduced alcoholic taste and enhanced aromatic scent, while inhibiting bubbling caused by adding the flavor improving agent in a specific alcoholic beverage when the specific alcoholic beverage is to be imbibed, etc. When an alcoholic beverage (a) or (b) is to be imbibed, a flavor improving agent comprising a high CO2-content ice (preferably, carbon-dioxide hydrate) of which the maximum length is at least 5 mm and which has a CO2 content of at least 3 wt% is used for the purpose of reducing alcoholic taste and enhancing aromatic scent in said alcoholic beverage. (a): An alcoholic beverage having an alcohol content of 10% or higher. (b): An alcoholic beverage having an alcohol content of at least 4% and less than 10%, and a total nitrogen content of at most 200 mg/L.
