Abstract:
Provided are: a method for purifying a viscous liquid, which is capable of effectively reducing the number of air bubbles in the viscous liquid; and a method for producing a porous membrane that is suitable for use as a filter in the purification method.
According to the present invention, a viscous liquid having a viscosity of 0.1 Pa·s or more is filtered with use of a filter that comprises: a porous membrane obtained by a production method which comprises formation of a composite film that is composed of a resin component (A) and particles (B) by applying a varnish containing the resin component (A), the particles (B) and a solvent (S) to a substrate, and removal of the particles (B) from the composite film; or a porous membrane having intercommunicating pores, which comprises a structure wherein spherical pores or generally spherical pores are in communication with each other.
