Abstract:
A method of purifying a vinyl polymer to be used as a component of a composition capable of undergoing hydrosilylation. The method comprises subjecting a vinyl polymer produced by the atom transfer radical polymerization to an adsorption treatment with a combination of an acid adsorbent and a basic adsorbent. Thus, the vinyl polymer can be efficiently purified economically. The vinyl polymer purified gives a composition having improved hydrosilylation activity.
