Abstract:
Disclosed is a method for quantitatively measuring the exchange rate of water molecules inside and outside myelin sheath: acquiring images by means of an FEXI sequence; determining, according to the acquired images, an anisotropic region and a nerve fiber orientation of each pixel point in the region; screening for images perpendicular to the nerve fiber orientation of each pixel point in the anisotropic region, and performing numerical averaging on the obtained images; and calculating an apparent exchange rate (AXR), an apparent diffusion coefficient (ADC), and a filtering coefficient σ by using the images subjected to numerical averaging, the AXR being a parameter that specifically reflects the exchange rate of water molecules inside and outside myelin sheath. According to the method provided by the present invention, an exchange process of water molecules inside and outside myelin sheath can be specifically detected, and an apparent exchange rate constant of water molecules inside and outside myelin sheath can be obtained by analysis.
