Abstract:
A cathode active material mixture obtained from a waste cathode of a lithium secondary battery is prepared in a method for recovering active metals from a lithium secondary battery. A preliminary precursor mixture is formed by reacting the cathode active material mixture in a fluidized bed reactor. A lithium precursor is selectively recovered from the preliminary precursor mixture. The recovery and the selectivity of the lithium precursor can be improved by using the fluidized bed reactor.
