Abstract:
The present invention provides a method for recovering scandium, said method being capable of efficiently recovering high-purity scandium from a solution that contains impurities together with scandium. The present invention is a method for recovering scandium, said method comprising: a neutralization step S3 wherein a solution containing scandium is passed through an ion exchange resin, an eluent eluted from the ion exchange resin is neutralized by adding a neutralizing agent and dimethylglyoxime thereto, and subsequently a neutralized sediment and a neutralized filtrate are obtained by means of solid-liquid separation; a solvent extraction step S4 wherein the eluent after neutralization is subjected to a solvent extraction treatment; and a scandium recovery step S5 wherein scandium oxide is recovered from an extraction residue that is separated by means of the solvent extraction treatment.
