Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a method that enables effective and easy reduction of the amount of endotoxin in a liquid. A method for reducing the amount of endotoxin in a liquid according to the present invention is characterized by comprising: a step for bringing a liquid containing at least 1 EU/mL of endotoxin into contact with basic magnesium carbonate so that at least a portion of the endotoxin is absorbed by the basic magnesium carbonate; and a step for subsequently separating the basic magnesium carbonate from the liquid fraction of the liquid.
