Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for regenerating an acid gas absorber and, more specifically, to a method for regenerating an acid gas absorber by using a catalytic mixture of silver oxide (Ag2O) and (Ag2CO3) in a step of generating an acid gas absorber during an acid gas capture process using an amine-based absorber that absorbs acid gas. The method for regenerating an absorber for acid gas, particularly, carbon dioxide, by using Ag2O and Ag2CO3 catalysts, of the present invention, accelerates the decomposition of carbon dioxide-coupled carbamate in an absorber, having absorbed carbon dioxide, through a novel catalytic reaction pathway by using a catalytic mixture of Ag2O and Ag2CO3, thereby effectively releasing carbon dioxide from the absorber. An absorber can be regenerated with a generation heat lower than a conventional absorber regeneration heat, and thus the absorber can be regenerated and carbon dioxide can be captured at low cost and with high efficiency.
