Abstract:
An objective of the present invention is to provide a method for regenerating a catalyst for manufacturing a conjugated diolefin by subjecting a monoolefin having at least 4 carbon atoms to gas-phase catalytic oxidative dehydrogenation, said method enabling the stable, long-term manufacture of a conjugated diolefin at a sustainable yield while reducing catalyst damage. This method for regenerating a catalyst for manufacturing a conjugated diolefin by subjecting a monoolefin have at least 4 carbon atoms to gas-phase catalytic oxidative dehydrogenation is characterized by performing the regeneration process such that the ratio R2/R1 of the average pore diameter R1 of the catalyst before being used in the reaction and the average pore diameter R2 of the catalyst after the regeneration reaches at least 0.59.
