Abstract:
Provided is a method for conveniently and safely removing, from a reactor, a catalyst used in a reaction that is carried out using hydrogen fluoride in the presence of the catalyst. In the reaction in which at least hydrogen fluoride and the catalyst are contained in the reactor, the catalyst is removed by carrying out steps which include: a heating step in which heating is carried out following completion of the reaction so that the temperature of the atmosphere inside the reactor reaches 80°C or higher; and a purging step in which an inert gas is introduced into the reactor following completion of the reaction so as to purge hydrogen fluoride to the outside of the reactor.
