Abstract:
The present invention is a technology related to a recombinant vector for removing LPS comprising CES3, and a LPS removal method using the vector. Particularly, a recombinant gene has been constructed to produce a recombinant protein in a plant from an N-terminal region (a cysteine-rich domain, an EGF-like domain and a domain having three sushi motifs, CES3) comprising a cysteine-rich domain, which is responsible for LPS detection and binding of a factor C protein of Carcinoscorpius rotundicauda, and a domain having Sushi 1-3 motifs, and it has been identified that a plant body transformed with the recombinant gene thereof is produced such that approximately 80% of endotoxin is removed from a protein mixture into which LPS is mixed. Therefore, a system has been constructed to fix CES:CBM3, which is a recombinant protein produced in a plant, to MCC beads, so as to remove LPS from a protein sample. The present invention is superior to a conventional LPS removal method in terms of sustainability, availability, stability and cost effectiveness.
