Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a removal method capable of efficiently removing a sand core from a cast in a short time and of re-using the removed and collapsed waste sand as-is, and an apparatus therefor. [Solution] A method for removing a sand core (1) from a cast (2) in which the sand core (1) has been cast, and an apparatus therefor. Superheated steam, which has been heated to a temperature capable of burning the shape-retaining resin of the sand core (1), and oxygen, which has been forcibly mixed into said superheated steam, are blown into the sand core (1) to burn the shape-retaining resin of the sand core (1).
