Abstract:
An existing elevator where a cage is elevated/lowered through a driver installed in a machine room (2) is remodeled into an elevator where the cage (211) is elevated/lowered through a driver (261) installed in the elevator shaft (1). The machine room (2) can thereby be utilized effectively for another purpose different from the purpose to drive the elevator, e.g. installation of a building facility, or it can be remodeled into a building facility.
