Abstract:
A method for repair by using self-detection and recovery of metallic corrosion defects, which uses the unique geometric structure of a local corrosion defect to produce a Joule heating effect during micro-arc discharge, thereby heating the edge of the defect such that same is rapidly heated and melted, and the melted metal flows to the interior of the defect under thermal stress, thus repairing an early corrosion defect by using self-detection and recovery.
