Abstract:
A method and equipment for retrieving heat, ash, and sulfur oxides from gas discharged out of a boiler (2) in a steam power plant. Gas discharged from a boiler (2) is introduced into pre-heating zone (21) of powdery raw material in a treating apparatus (20) through conduit (30). The heat of the discharged gas is recovered as a heat source for pre-heating the powdery raw material. Ash contained in the off-gas is recovered as a part of the powdery material in said pre-heating zone. Sulfur oxides in the off-gas react with desulfurizing ingredients of the powdery raw material in said pre-heating zone, and the reaction product is recovered as part of the powdery raw material.
