Abstract:
A method of safely emitting a high-temperature exhaust gas for an offshore platform comprises: passing a high-temperature exhaust gas of a combustion apparatus (1) through a high-temperature exhaust gas vent pipe (1.1) into a body (2.1) of a cooling and purification device, and at the same time, introducing seawater into the body (2.1) of the cooling and purification device, such that the introduced seawater for washing is sprayed and distributed, via a water distributor (2.4) at an upper portion in an interior of the body (2.1) of the cooling and purification device, to below the water distributor (2.4); and causing the high-temperature exhaust gas to enter through a high-temperature exhaust gas inlet (2.7) at a lower portion of the body (2.1) of the cooling and purification device to below the water distributor (2.4), such that the exhaust gas is washed by the seawater and then becomes a cooled and purified exhaust gas. The cooled and purified exhaust gas passes through the water distributor (2.4) and a demister (2.9) thereabove to eliminate droplets, and finally exits to the atmosphere via a cooled and purified exhaust gas outlet (2.10) at a top portion of the body (2.1) of the cooling and purification device. The seawater having washed the high-temperature exhaust gas is collected in a liquid collection sump (2.6) at a lower portion of the body (2.1) of the cooling and purification device, and then exits to the sea. Also disclosed is a cooling and purification device.
