Abstract:

Disclosed is a method for sealing and welding a cooling water channel of an electric motor housing. The method comprises the following steps: 1) sealing an open turning channel (32) of the cooling water channel (3) with a filler (2) at an end of the electric motor housing (1) such that the cooling water channel (3) forms an S-shaped sealed channel; and 2) thoroughly mixing the filler (2) and the surrounding solder for the electric motor housing (1) by means of a stirring head (8) for friction-stir welding so as to perform welding in a single-seam manner. In the welding method, the filler and the surrounding solder are mixed thoroughly in one step by means of a stirring head with a larger diameter, the welding is performed in a single-seam manner, and the welding is completed in one round, thereby achieving high efficiency and good stability and reducing the welding time by 1/2 to 1/3.
