Abstract:
Embodiments of the present invention disclose a method for selecting a relay station in a power line network and stations, which can reduce a message maintenance scale and reduce bandwidth resource occupation. The method of the embodiments of the present invention comprises: a first station separately receives a maintenance message sent by each second station, each second station sending the maintenance message with preset transmit power, and a difference between maximum transmit power supported by each second station and the preset transmit power being not smaller than power required to compensate for asymmetry between the first station and each second station; the first station determines a success rate of the maintenance message sent by each second station; and the first station selects, according to the success rates, one station from multiple second stations as a relay station of the first station.
