Abstract:
A method for selecting switching the charging mode and the device thereof, the method includes: the prepaid client end informs the prepaid charging server to establish a session, the prepaid charging server transmits the charging value of the session to the prepaid client end; when the charging value of the session is exhausted, the prepaid client end informs the prepaid, and the prepaid charging server informs the prepaid client end to stop the prepaid charging; keeping on maintaining the session established, the prepaid client end informs the authentication authorization charging server to start the postpaid charging. The switching device includes: selecting unit verification determining unit session establishment unit switching unit. The invention solves the problem that the user can not optionally select or switch the charging mode based on the communication service and the request. It not only enables the user to enjoy lower fee, but also avoid suffering the loss attributed to the communication service terminal when the user’s fee is exhausted.
