Title:
METHOD FOR SENSING A COOPERATIVE SPECTRUM SENSING IN A COGNITIVE RADIO ENVIRONMENT
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2012/057535
Kind Code:
A3
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for sensing a cooperative spectrum sensing in a cognitive radio environment, in which orthogonal codes differentiated from each other are assigned to cognitive radio users, i.e. cognitive stations, in a cognitive radio environment, and the orthogonal codes are simultaneously received as availability notification messages from the cognitive radio users so as to sense a subcarrier on which no licensed user is sensed. The method comprises: a step in which a central node transmits a query for requesting the transmission of spectrum-sensing data to each cognitive station; a step in which each cognitive station simultaneously transmits, to the central node, an availability notification message on each subcarrier that is not being used by a licensed user in response to the query using an orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing technique; and a step in which each cognitive station obtains, from the central node, report data obtained by combining the availability notification messages simultaneously transmitted from the cognitive stations over the subcarriers which are not being used by a licensed user.
