The present invention relates to a method for solidifying radioactive waste comprising boron and, to a method for solidifying radioactive waste, comprising (a) a step of mixing radioactive waste, metakaolin, fumed silica, potassium hydroxide and water to generate a second mixture, wherein the radioactive waste comprises boron.
