Abstract:
The inventive method for starting and operating a gasoline engine whose degree of compression is equal to or less than 45 consists in forming vacuum in an intake manifold and a cylinder during starting and in limiting the engine cylinder air inflation during the operation thereof from an idling to a full speed mode. The vacuum in the intake manifold is produced when the ignition is switched-on according to a signal of an electronic control unit by removing air from the intake manifold when a fuel injecting device and a throttle gate are closed. According to a vacuum sensor signal, the electronic control unit forms a signal to a starter for turning a crankshaft and signals for a fuel injecting device, the throttle gate and a spark plug, thereby making it possible to supply air, fuel and a spark to the cylinder. During operation in the idling to a full speed mode, the electronic control unit produces a signal for modifying the throttle gate position, thereby limiting the cylinder inflation with air.
