Title:
METHOD FOR SYNTHESIZING CURCUMIN BY CONVERTING LIGNIN-CONTAINING BIOMASS
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2022/062087
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The present invention relates to the technical field of biology, and provides a method for synthesizing curcumin by converting a lignin-containing biomass. First, a laccase gene of bacillus subtilis is knocked out, and a curcumin synthesis related gene is transferred into bacillus subtilis for genetic modification, so that a bacillus subtilis engineering bacterium having the curcumin synthesis metabolic capability is made. Also provided are a construction method for the genetically engineered bacterium, and an application of the lignin-containing biomass subjected to a catalytic treatment by a physical, chemical, or biological method, a hydrolysis product thereof, various industrial lignin, industrial lignin depolymerization products, etc. in producing curcumin. According to the method, agricultural and forest waste biomass resources such as sawdust and straw, industrial lignin, papermaking black liquor, and other cheap substances can be converted into high added-value bioactive substance curcumin, so that the high-value utilization bottleneck of agricultural and forest wastes is solved, and the production cost of curcumin is reduced, and the method has important industrial value.
