Title:
METHOD OF SYNTHESIZING TAG COMPOUND
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/1992/018986
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
A method of synthesizing ?13N-ammonia in a target in which a target water and hydrogen are sent into a synthesizing device under a pressure of 0.1-5 kg/cm?2, and while circulating the target water, ?13N-ammonia is generated by projecting a proton beam on it. A method for synthesizing ?13N-ammonia in a target in which the target water including ?13N-ammonia generated by the foregoing method, is contacted with an Na cation exchange resin, and ?13N-ammonia is caught on the cation exchange resin, and then, the caught ?13N-ammonia is dissolved in a physiological salt solution by contacting the positive ion exchange resin with the physiological salt solution. A method for synthesizing a tag compound in which, each liquid of the target water and the physiological salt solution, etc., is sucked by a predetermined quantity from each liquid tank into a syringe, the piston of the syringe is pressed down to inject the liquid into a synthesizing vessel in a state that the pipe connecting the syringe and the synthesizing vessel is closed, and the displacement of the piston of the syringe is measured. If the displacement exceeds a predetermined value, it is judged that the liquid quantity sucked into the syringe is insufficient. If it does not exceed, the liquid is injected into the vessel, opening the pipe. It is possible to synthesize in a short time ?13N-ammonia of a high quality, which is suitable to PET (Positron Emission Tomography) system of a kind of tomography utilized for diagnosing sicknesses, etc.
