Abstract:
Devices, systems and methods, for improving the I-SMF event notification efficiency, and for reducing the latency associated with such event notifications are disclosed herein. In one embodiment, a method includes: receiving, by an intermediate session management function (I-SMF) via a session management function (SMF), subscription information and a notification address of a subscribing function; receiving, by the I-SMF, quality-of-service (QoS) related event information; and sending, by the I-SMF using the received notification address, the QoS related event information directly to the subscribing function.
