Abstract:
A method and system for authenticating digital cluster service, the system comprises a mobile station, a base station subsystem, a core network entity, and an authentication entity. The method comprises: the mobile station calculates an authentication result M1 by using an obtained authentication parameter of system side, an stored authentication algorithm and a key, and sends the M1 to the authentication entity; the authentication entity calculates an authentication result M2 by using the obtained authentication parameter of system side, the stored authentication algorithm and the key, and after determining that the M2 is the same as the M1, calculates an authentication result N1 by using an obtained authentication parameter of terminal side, a stored authentication algorithm and a key, and sends the N1 to the mobile station; the mobile station calculates an authentication result N2 by using the obtained authentication parameter of terminal side, the stored authentication algorithm and the key, and determines whether the N2 and N1 are identical, and if it is, the authentication is successful, otherwise failed. The invention provides bi-directional authentication procedure, greatly satisfies the requirement of security in the digital cluster service.
