Abstract:
The present application relates to the field of computer vision and the technical field of machine learning, and discloses a method and system for beautifying an image, so that the aesthetic degree and typicality of any image can be automatically improved without any additional artificial aesthetic information labelling. The method comprises: providing an image to be beautified; inputting the image to be beautified into a neural network, the neural network being a pre-trained deep neural network oriented to visual applications; on the basis of an intermediate layer output of the neural network, calculating a marginal utility generated by each pixel or superpixel in the image to a network output, and determining a significant signal and a noise signal in the image on the basis of the marginal utility; and suppressing the noise signal and/or enhancing the significant signal to obtain a beautified image.
