Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to a method and a system for controlling the traveling of a mobile robot by using a LiDAR sensor. The method of the present disclosure comprises the steps of: setting, on the basis of departure information, destination information and map information that includes static obstacles, a traveling path on which a mobile robot is to move; recognizing, to be any one of a static region and a dynamic region, a region in which the mobile robot is to travel on the traveling path according to whether there is at least one dynamic obstacle that can be detected through a LiDAR sensor; and controlling the traveling of the mobile robot on the basis of the traveling path, the type of the recognized region, and distance information between the traveling path and an obstacle, acquired through the LiDAR sensor.
