Abstract:
Embodiments herein disclose a method for determining a target cell for handover of a UE. The method includes monitoring, by a mobility management platform, multiple network characteristics associated with multiple UEs and determining, by the mobility management platform, a correlation between the multiple UEs based on the multiple network characteristics associated with the multiple UEs and location information of the multiple UEs. The method includes receiving, by the mobility management platform, location information from UE of the multiple and determining, by the mobility management platform, a measurement report corresponding to the location information received from the UE based on the correlation. And the method includes determining, by the mobility management platform, the target cell for the handover of the UE based on the location information received from the UE and the measurement report.
