Abstract:
A method, system and network entity for negotiating the session description protocol (SDP) version, so as to achieve the negotiation process where the two communication parties negotiate the SDP version supported by both parties at the same time. Especially when applied under the H.248 protocol, through extension of the corresponding property parameter, the negotiation process between the media gateway controller and the media gateway can be conveniently achieved. A method, system and network entity for obtaining the SDP capability information achieves that one communication party obtaining the SDP version information supported by the other party from the other party. Especially when applied under the H.248 protocol, through extension of the corresponding property parameter, the media gateway controller obtaining the SDP version information supported by the media gateway can be conveniently achieved.
