Abstract:
Provided are a method and a system for controlling wind turbines by adaptively selecting a plurality of wind farm controllers. In a method for operating a wind farm according an embodiment of the present invention, performances of a plurality of controllers that control wind turbines of the wind farm are measured, one of the controllers is selected on the basis of the measured performances, and the wind turbines are controlled by the selected controller. Accordingly, by adaptively selecting a plurality of wind farm controllers to control the wind turbines, the wind turbines of the wind farm can be operated more effectively and efficiently.
