Abstract:
The present invention provides a method and system for preparing a cyclic carbonate by catalyzing carbon dioxide cycloaddition. The method comprises the following steps: carrying out a cycloaddition reaction by using a Schiff base metal and imidazole bicarbonate as catalysts and using carbon dioxide and an epoxy compound as raw materials, generating a cyclic carbonate. The structural formula of the Schiff base metal catalyst is (I), wherein R is ethyl, phenyl, cyclohexyl, or naphthyl, M is copper, manganese, zinc, or aluminum, and X is Cl, Br, CH3, CH3Co2, BF4, or PF6. The structural formula of the imidazole bicarbonate is (II), wherein R1 is methyl, ethyl, propyl, n-butyl, n-pentyl, or n-hexyl. According to the method of the present invention, the temperature and pressure required for the reaction can be reduced, the energy consumption of the reaction is reduced, and the efficiency of reaction is improved.
