Abstract:
Disclosed are a method and a system for protecting an executable file by using a heap memory. A method for protecting an executable file, according to one embodiment, may comprise the steps of: identifying a protected memory space loaded with obfuscated content for protection from among memory spaces for the content of an executable file loaded in a memory of a computer device, according to the execution of the executable file; allocating a separate heap memory; decoding the obfuscated content in the protected memory space and copying same to the allocated heap memory; and dynamically modifying the address of the memory space for the content of the executable file by using relocation information of the executable file loaded in the memory.
