Disclosed are a method and apparatus for purifying gasified coal gas, wherein carbon dioxide can be recovered in a liquid form from gasified coal gas at the same time as hydrogen is recovered therefrom. When raw material gas (1) obtained by gasifying coals is purified, the water content in the raw material gas (1) is first removed by means of a molecular sieve of a water content-removing device (20).  Then, carbon dioxide (3) in a liquid form is removed from the raw material gas, from which the water content has been removed, by means of a liquefying device (30).  Finally, highly purified hydrogen gas (4) is recovered from the raw material gas, from which carbon dioxide has been removed, by means of a pressure swing adsorption device (40).
