Abstract:
Provided is a method for purifying glycerin from a raw material which contains glycerin and at least one type of glycerin fatty acid ester, the method being characterized by including: a first separation step for mixing the raw material with an inorganic acid and separating a first oil component and a first glycerin liquid; a neutralization step for neutralizing the first glycerin liquid using an alkaline substance; and a second separation step for separating a second oil component and a precipitated inorganic salt from the neutralized glycerin liquid. The present invention enables inexpensive purification of glycerin from a raw material containing glycerin and a glycerin fatty acid ester while lowering the burden on the environment. In addition, the present invention provides a system for purifying glycerin, a method for producing a stripping agent for a composition containing asphalt or cement, and a stripping method.
