Abstract:
Provided are a method and system for rapidly preparing lithium carbonate or concentrated brine by using high-temperature steam. The method comprises the steps of: 1) introducing brine into a reactor; 2) introducing high-temperature steam with a temperature of 200°C or above into the brine, heating the brine, and simultaneously discharging the steam produced in the reactor; 3) cooling the discharged steam by means of a condenser and collecting a condensate therein; and 4) stopping introducing high-temperature steam after the brine is concentrated to a predetermined concentration or after a sufficient amount of lithium carbonate has been separated out. The system comprises: a reactor (1) provided with a brine inlet (11); a steam outlet (13) is arranged above the reactor, and an outlet (12) is arranged below the reactor; a plurality of steam pipes (14), the openings of which face downward, are provided in the reactor, and the steam outlet is connected to a condenser (2). In the present method, high-temperature steam is used to directly heat the brine, while a condenser is simultaneously used to discharge the produced steam, which may effectively concentrate the brine or prepare lithium carbonate crystals, and produce fresh water as a by-product. The present method has the advantage of fast and uniform heating. The present method is useful in reducing the amount of jackets, heat exchange tubes, mixers, vacuum pumps and other devices that need to be configured, and is conducive to reducing the complexity of the equipment.
