Abstract:
A variable working condition tool wear monitoring method and system based on cutting force component decoupling. The method comprises: calculating a tool-workpiece engagement (TWE) area offline according to a cutter location point file; calculating the allowable cutting force of a tool at each position of the part offline; collecting spindle vibration data of a numerical control machine tool, and establishing, according to the obtained system internal data, a data set having marking tool name information; estimating the cutting force of the tool in real time on the basis of a vibration signal; calculating the cutting force which is actually increased due to tool wear and the theoretical cutting force which is allowed to the maximum extent under the constraint of part accuracy and is increased due to tool wear; and comparing the measured cutting force with the theoretical wear cutting force in real time, and if the actual tool wear degree is greater than the theoretical allowable tool wear degree, performing tool changing, otherwise, continuing to monitor the tool state until the tool wears out. Tool wear monitoring under variable load can be achieved, whether the tool wears out is determined in real time on the basis of the constraint of part accuracy, and the service life of the tool can be utilized to the maximum extent.
